I would like to give a big thanks to Gmail for their latest changes on contact manager.  Until now if you emailed somebody a few times they were atuomatically added to your contact manager.   Using this method lead to having allot of useless contacts in your manager which lead to wasting time finding the correct contact.  The new change to contact manager now allows you to navigate to suggested contacts and pick the people that you actually want added.  There are some other details that you can read about over at the Gmail Blog.  I can’t wait to see what other changes will be made in the near future to improve this part of Gmail.

Gmail has released a very nice tip over on their blog.  I use Gmail allot to send allot of quick messages that only contain a subject.  When you do this you always received a prompt that you had to click through in order to send the message.  If you now add “EOM” at the end of your subject you will no longer be prompted if you want to send the message.  This also helps the person receiving the email know that there is nothing else included in the email.

Google introduced a new feature in Gmail that is called Mail Goggles.  Mail Goggles makes you jump through some hoops to make sure that you really want to send the email.  For right now Mail Goggles make you answer some math questions after you hit send on the email.  By default it is only active late at night on the weekends.  When you do enable it you can adjust when it is active.  Hopefully this help keep some people having some regret the next day.
