One of the most important things you can understand is memory allocation when it comes to administrating windows operating systems. Just when I think I understand memory I usually run across an article that explains something that I did not completely understand. Once again Mark Russinovich has done an excellent job of describing what paged and nonpaged pool memory is. Not only does Mark explain what it is he also goes into detail on how to view what you are currently using. He also demonstrates how to use one of his tools called Not My Fault to demonstrate memory issues. Mark also goes into great detail on how to track memory pool leaks. This article is a must read if you really want to understand how your system memory is behaving or not behaving. Thanks again Mark for passing on all of this information. We truly appreciate all the time you spend helping us understand the windows operating systems better.
